Services Offered

  • State of Texas well report retrieval
    • Sometimes finding the water well report for your well is difficult since it may have been drilled for a previous owner or it was simply lost over time.  Feel free to contact us via phone, EMAIL, or come by the office and we will attempt to locate the well report.  Kendall County started registering water wells back in the mid 1970’s so our records are pretty extensive.  Please keep in mind that not all wells have retrievable reports due to the age of the well or the report simply went unfiled with us.  Well report request form
  • Water well construction compliance
    • Every water well completed within the District is inspected for construction and spacing compliance.  Water well drillers have multiple administrative rules, construction standards, and spacing requirements they must follow.  These rules vary from District to District based on many different factors.  We do our best to help inform landowners and water well drillers of local construction standards and help them navigate the rules of the District.
  • Groundwater level checking
    • The District checks water levels twice a month to monitor the aquifer levels across Kendall County.  These levels can be viewed on our website under the MONITORING TAB.  Additionally, you can find REMOTE MONITORING levels in the monitoring dropdown on our homepage.  If you’re not near one of the monitoring sites or you’re having trouble with your well, the District can schedule a day and time to come check your water level.
  • Water well camera logging
    • The downhole video camera is a tool that can be used to help identify the conditions underground or to record and document activities within a well.  It can be rotated 360 degrees to help diagnose well problems (i.e. well casing cracks, plugged or offset perforations, deformed casing) and locating lost pumps, pipe, and tools.  The video can provide the District, Well Owner, and Water Well Contractor with the means to visualize below ground conditions. Should your well experience problems, and the District determines that running a camera inspection of the well will aid in diagnosing the problem, the District can video your well at no cost and provide the recording to the landowner or the water well contractor.  To camera inspect a well the only requirements are that the well must not currently be equipped with a pump and the well must be registered with the District.  To illustrate the downhole camera’s capability, click on the link below to view the video of a well in the Comfort area.  Well Camera Sample
